How it works

What happens when water flows through a powerful magnetic field ?
The dissolved ions carry the Lorentz force, which act on every electric charge moving in a magnetic field. This is the good old principle of cathode ray tubes, the basic TV equipment during the 20th century.
Calcium ions Ca(2+) and carbonate ions CO3(2-), having an opposite charge, will be moved by an opposite force of a same intensity.
They will "meet" and create a calcium carbonate molecule : CaCO3. When water is spinning around, the chances of an encounter are increased. Aquagyre is therefore equipped with a vortex generator.
Once formed in water, the molecule hardly sticks to the sides, scale still float in water, but as dust. It can be sponged when precipitating and cleaned without an acidic agent. The calcium carbonate molecule also frees the space to dissolve the scale which is already stuck.
Scale within the pipes is therefore removed gradually. The process is slow, but regular.
